What you need

A BMW ENET cable (plugs into your car's OBD port and your laptop) and a Windows laptop with an Ethernet port and internet. That's it — we connect to your laptop remotely and guide you on WhatsApp through every step. Nothing is shipped and you don't need a garage.

The terms, explained

Head unit
The iDrive computer and screen in your dashboard — the part that runs navigation, radio, media and CarPlay.
Region change
Cars built for Japan, the US or the UK use different radio frequencies and menus. Changing the region makes FM radio tune correctly and the system behave like a European car.
VIN coding
Pairing the unit to your specific car so it stops behaving like it belongs to another vehicle. If the unit came from a donor car, we change the VIN too.
MGU2
The newest system fitted to 2025 cars. On these, what we can unlock is more limited — see the note below.

How the session works

You book a time with us on WhatsApp. On the day, plug the ENET cable into the car and your laptop, turn the ignition on, and we connect to your laptop remotely. We do the work while guiding you through the few steps you need to do on your side. Most sessions are straightforward — you just need the car and laptop together for the duration.

2025 cars (MGU2)

On the latest 2025 models with the MGU2 head unit, the region unlock covers language and radio (FM) change to Europe only — the wider activation options above don't apply to these units yet.
