What are Rear view / Backup camera features?
BMW rear-view camera clearly shows the area behind the vehicle on the control display. Interactive track lines show whether or not the parking space in question is big enough for the vehicle. The Rear-view camera is automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged (availability depends on other equipment fitted).
Can this be installed on my car?
Apple Carplay is supported on F, G and I series BMW, MINI Cooper, Toyota Supra which were manufactured after 2016-07 . Your car needs to have an EVO headunit (option 609).
What is needed for this retrofit?
Rear view camera pack for F series. For G series you need to have a windshield camera (KAFAS2 or KAFAS4) on your car. On F series speed limit information data is pulled from maps on your Navigation system

Remote coding session. You will need to code the car with an SLI option. If you are not familiar with BMW coding, we can code it for you safely. For the coding session, you need to have an ENET cable and a Windows laptop with an ethernet port and internet connection.
Step 1. Install rear view camera in the car following the instructions.
Step 2. Add rear view camera option to your car’s FA list and code the related modules. Add 3AG to FA option list and code ACSM, BDC, HU (NBT/NBT2/MGU), PMA, USS. Code ICAM module.
Step 3. Test the new features. By now you should have new features when putting the car into Reverse.
