2. How to install the maps?
Maps are “heavy” so you will need a 64 GB USB stick. Download MAP DATA from the link provided.
After you got your map data, copy all of the files directly into root of USB stick (not inside in any folder), so it would look like so:

Create FSC folder and copy your map key (included in the Carplay pack) inside it.
Now your USB stick is ready, plug into the car, idrive will ask if you want to update the maps.
Map update may take 20-60 min. (depends on the map). After the update you should see new map version:
